This report highlights Brailsford & Dunlavey’s findings from its fifth annual survey of higher education P3 transactions from 2021. Although the market slowed down in 2020 during the pandemic, 2021 marks a bounce-back year for higher education P3s. This State of the Industry report focuses on housing and housing-anchored mixed-use projects from B&D’s database of higher education P3 projects that achieved financial close during the study period and were—or will be—built on university or foundation-owned land. Additionally, we discuss insights and trends within the energy sector and look into the future of the market.
